North Oakland Medical Centers’ Cardio-Pulmonary Department is equipped to diagnose and treat heart and lung disorders using state-of-the-art equipment and procedures.

The Cardiology Department at the main campus provides many inpatient and outpatient services including 24-hour monitoring, stress tests, echocardiograms, EKGs, EEGs and upper and lower arterial studies. Some of these diagnostic tests are also available at NOMC Clarkston Radiology.

The Cardiology Catheterization Lab offers convenient, personalized care and high-tech equipment unavailable at any other Oakland County hospital. The lab is equipped for heart catheterization, vascular intervention and certain radiology procedures.

The Pulmonary Department’s doctors, nurses and respiratory therapists offer a Pulmonary Rehabilitation program for patients with chronic breathing problems. The three-phase program combines education, treatment and exercise to help slow the progression of lung disease and restore participant’s independence.

The Cardiology department also treats Peripheral arterial disease or PAD, a life-threatening disease in which blood flow to the arteries may be blocked.
