NOMC Midwives Create Sock Drive to Help New Mothers and Families

In honor of Nurse Midwifery Week October 1-7 the Nurse Midwives who operate out of the Seminole Primary Health Center out of North Oakland Medical Centers (NOMC) in Pontiac are holding a sock drive at NOMC to benefit their patients and families. The NOMC Nurse Widwives started the new program this year after observing that many of their patients and their children do not have socks in the colder months. To honor Nurse Midwifery, donate new and gently used socks of any size by bringing the socks to a collection box in the main hospital lobby of NOMC at 461 W. Huron Street, Pontiac October 1-7 between the hours of 9am-6:30pm. For more information on the NOMC Midwives Sock Club contact Nurse Midwife, Barb Crone, at (248) 857-7121.
